The Lookout

Flat calm and bright sun early on; then beacme grey and Stromness was chilly this evening by the harbour waters.

Revived our souls by going into Julia's for coffee, cake, hot chocolate etc. Only two tables occupied. We met Kathleen and Dougal there, this saved both Dougal and myself cooking when we got home.

Going to sit in the fireside Orkney chair now and read the Orcadian.

BTW this is an old WWII Observation Post above the Black Craig, just through Stromness and Outewrtown. Still used but not for obsering the enemy.
