Bit of a teasel!

Some sunshine today, and this teasel caught me eye. That it is in what used to be a rose bed in a formal Victorian garden simply goes to show that things change. A Victorian gardener would probably only see them as being useful for raising the nap on woollen cloth, and certainly not allow them anyway near the borders and flower beds!
