Dunwan Dam

This was taken on Eaglesham Moor this afternoon about 3.45pm. The sun was absolutely blinding in parts of the moor but others were in complete shade.

DDW Challenge for today is fluid........= Dunwan Dam.

Glasgow Museums has one object from Dunwan Dam, Eaglesham, which dates from the late medieval period between about AD 1300 and 1400.

This collection contains a glazed pottery jug that was found in 1996 during a detailed survey at the site. The jug, probably dating to the 14th century, is of Germanic design. When complete, it would have had two handles however only two slightly raised areas remain where the handles would once have been attached.
