Little and Large

A session this afternoon photographing garden birds around the feeder brought this lovely juxtaposition of a pigeon and a yellow finch happily munchng away at the same feeder. The pigeon was so settled in and the feed was literally disappearing before my eyes that in the end I chased it away. Normally the pigeons are happy to feed off the droppings of nuts falling on the ground from the feeder but this fellow had worked out a far more efficient way of getting to the food !
