The detector man

Almost everyday I see this man in the park with his metal detector. Every so often he appears to stop, get out his trowel and have a little dig around. Sometimes, out comes the spade. Today I saw him put at least 2 things in his bag. I do hope he gets something worthwhile out of it to make up for the amount of time he spends on his hobby.
