All set for the first ‘Archers Day’ at the Bull

All set for the first ‘Archers Day’ at the Bull Inn, Rippingale, Lincolnshire

I was torn between blipping a room full of people, or the pristine table set-up before the fun started.

Everyone knows the ‘The Archers, an Every Day Story of Country Folk’, and that the home of the ‘The Archers’ is (now) Inkberrow, but few know where the original idea came from and what influenced the scripts of the original 'The Archers' some five years before Inkberrow came onto the scene.

On Saturday 23rd November some forty fans enjoyed an excellent Archers themed lunch, and were entertained with an exhibition and illustrated talk from Jim Latham, our local historian (yours truly driving the slide show) – all for the price of a meal!

Rippingale - Birthplace of 'The Archers'.  Follow this link http://www.rippingalevillage.co.uk/Archers for a bit more info.

We intend to have a repeat performance at the end of January/beginning of February 2014 – well that’s that blip sorted . . .
