Western Steampunk

Today and tomorrow is the First Haworth Steampunk Weekend.
Knowing nothing about such an activity, and being inherently nosy - off we went to see what it was all about.
According to Google - Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction, usually set in an anachronistic Victorian or quasi-Victorian alternate history setting. It could be described by the slogan "What the past would look like if the future had happened sooner." It includes fiction with science fiction, fantasy or horror themes.
This is an example of Western Steampunk: Science fiction set in the American Old West.
Haworth was full of lovely people dressed in the strangest of outfits - but were all friendly and enjoyed being blipped.
View it Large to see some of the detail of their outfits.
Amongst the bands playing in the street was the Bradford City Pipe Band who were excellent. They had a band collector with real style - Corinthian - eat your heart out :-) :-)

There are a few more images from the weekend here.
