A Low-Impact Family

I went to watch chum salmon spawning in Chuckanut Creek this morning, hoping for a salmon blip. I saw the chum spawning, but wasn't able to get any decent photos.

On my way back to my car, I saw these bicycles chained together, and remembered reading an article in the local newspaper about a family of five that didn't have a car but managed to get around by bicycle. At the time, a couple of the children were too young to pedal themselves, so the parents towed them in trailers.

I think these bicycles probably belong to that family. The youngest members seem to have achieved self-propulsion. The parents must be very glad.
