Surprise!

What a lovely weekend.

Mrs42 surprised me for our wedding anniversary and whisked me away for a night at Duchray Castle (near Aberfoyle). What an amazing place - the most luxurious B&B that I've ever stayed in.

We had dinner last night in the Forth Inn in Aberfoyle and a walk in the frosty forest, along the river and around the castle and gardens today (we came across the tyre swing when I was out looking for the best view of the castle) before coming home.

Thanks to our friends for having Miss42 over for a sleepover - she had a great time.

... and then at swimming this afternoon Miss42 did loads of swimming by herself (not far - but definitely by herself!)
