Oak Colour

The oak tree is looking pretty now, and soon its leaves will be landing on our front garden ! There is quite a bit of colour from our beech tree and various shrubs too.
A very cold morning as we walked to church, so it was good to be welcomed in with smiles and electric warmth too! As we have no vicar at present, four of us had a discussion with coffee afterwards to organise the Christingle service in two weeks time.
A roast chicken lunch, and a chance to catch up on the weekend papers.
I finished the last, very thrilling, chapter of the book I was reading on the train last week - Daphne du Maurier's Jamaica Inn, which I hadn't read before! A new BBC film of this story is due soon, and there is plenty of material there! I hope they don't make it too gruesome, but it is a very clever plot.
