Love Is A Battlefield

I have often admired this wee building in the middle of Battlefield Road as I drive by on my way too and from physio...so thought today it was time for a blip and a google as, although a restauraunt now, it obviously started out as something else.

Turns out it was built in 1915 as a luxury tram stop and I can't help imagine that perhaps one or two love matches may have been made while sheltering from the weather.

Turns out it is part of the Langside Heritage Trail so, if it's not chucking it down, I think that might be my Sunday walk sorted for this week!
