Special Blossoms

I walked quite a long way this morning and investigated a few streets I haven't looked at before.

Found this big old tree and as I got closer I could hear the lazy hum of many bees going about their business! I have never seen these blossoms before so I have no idea of the name of the tree but they did remind me a little of delicate pinwheels!

They were almost dripping with nectar and the birds and the bees were having themselves a party!! ;)

Edit: The tree is Lophostemon confertus or the Brisbane Box tree, many thanks to Anemone for letting me know the name of this wonderful tree :)
