Shepherd's Warning?

This wonderfully red sunrise over Tobermory harbour signalled a calm, yet coldish day here. It's lovely that a saying that shares a rule of thumb from over 2000 years is still going strong.

I remember being taught the rhyme as a child. I think it's important in this day and technological age not to let the simple things in life go.
