It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like . . .

Yes, it's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS! Actually, it's not quite time for Christmas yet, though. In the U.S., we will be celebrating Thanksgiving later this week, with turkey and all the trimmings. So these holiday sentiments may be a bit premature. But it sure is starting to LOOK like Christmas, isn't it?

We had some snow on Saturday night. It wasn't a lot of snow, maybe just an inch or so: what we'd call "a dusting" here. It came through in waves of squalls late in the day, and it was cold enough out that it turned some of the roads to black ice and made traveling treacherous in spots. But we were fortunate - we were at home, with nowhere in particular we had to be, either Saturday or Sunday!

The forecast for the coming week may include more snow, and/or a mix of freezing rain and snow. The weather peeps are predicting it may disrupt travel along the eastern seaboard, so we are watching the system closely, and already have plans to move back our Thanksgiving meal with family from Thursday to Friday or Saturday, if the weather does not cooperate for a Thursday celebration. Keep an eye to the skies!

The song: Perry Como, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.
