How many steps?

We started our sight-seeing by going up the Monument - a mere 311 steps (instead of the 100 or so that Caroline had thought!)

Afterwards, we went back to the market at the South Bank Centre for a look at the stalls that had already closed by the time we'd got there last night, then went to Hyde Park for a walk before going into the main shopping area to see the Christmas lights - the robins in Carnaby Street are huge! I'm not a big fan of browsing round shops just for the sake of it but I did make an exception for Liberty's - I love that place!

After another load of walking, we ended up at Somerset House to watch the ice skaters, before heading back to the hotel. It was another tiring but good day.
