Remembrance

I treasure this remembrance poppy, bought from a volunteer at Temple Station last week.

I observed a few minutes' silence at work at 11am and visited the Stanley Spencer exhibition at Somerset House, which is so worthwhile, interesting and free. Walking to the furthest point of the exhibition, which features a projection of the resurrection painting from the chapel, I heard a gentleman reciting war poetry quietly from the corner. The poems, voiced amongst these paintings on this day with the gentleman solemnly reciting the lives and deaths of the war poets, was profoundly moving. Thank you, Somerset House, for such a thoughtful exhibition.
