A coffee with a view

I joined a group from the boys' school today to go on a walking tour of London's Wren churches. We started off at the terrace café at One New Exchange for a cappuccino with a view - what a view! Eyeball to eyeball with St Pauls Cathedral. It looked glorious under the blue skies of London. This is the view from the terrace.

It is amazing how many of Wren's churches there are within such a small area of the city. We visited the remains of Christchurch, his biggest church apart from St Pauls that was so badly bombed in the war it was never rebuilt. Then on to St Mary le Bow, St Stephen Walbrook, and ended up at St Lawrence Jewry which is the parish of the Lord Mayor of London. We managed to catch a lunch time music concert there before catching the train home again.
