Autumn Bonfire

Smoke from a garden bonfire rose up towards the blue sky this morning as Russet and I walked over the frosty fields.
This evening I went to a meeting in the village hall, but just as we had got started there was a power cut, the first for years! After attempting to carry on by torchlight, the meeting was adjourned until tomorrow evening. I came home to a dark house with my husband making coffee on a primus stove. We sat around chatting by candlelight for two hours before the power was restored!
Must put candles on the shopping list!
