~Near and Far~

This view is almost directly south-southwest at sunset. The clouds on the horizon are probably hanging over the border with Mexico that is over a hundred miles away. At that distance the haze hangs heavily in this image, something I dislike but can do nothing about. The higher cloud formations are less than twenty miles away and show more crispness and clarity. Also facing this direction at sunset produces more pastels and less saturated colors.
