Marshmallow sky

It was a very good day to be out and about. A certain bracing bite in the air. And I have my new coat to keep me nice and toasty - and my hand knitted hat made with North Ronaldsay sheep wool.

I took this shot of the Royal Scots Grays memorial on the way back from a lovely meeting with a writer at the National Library. The sky was entirely glorious, a marshmallow confection. It was nice, too, to wander through the sights and smells of the German market and watch the big wheel turning against the darkening sky. Edinburgh is such a beautiful city.
