Frost

I heard a car windscreen being vigorously scraped before I looked out and saw that there had been a proper frost overnight. Luckily it was dry, so there was no icy-ness to contend with, just frosting of all the foliage. V pretty.

After an intense morning of strategic brain-storming I travelled back up to Newcastle in the afternoon. The journey felt longer than it was - a slight whiff of diesel fumes in the carriage didn't help.

The high point of the day was bumping in to an old friend who was getting out of the train at MKC from the same door that I was about to get in. We had a great big hug but immediately had to go our separate ways - talk about a brief encounter!
