The Wurst takeaway

We've had the Festival crowds and now just three months later it's time for the winter migration of tourists and revellers. Princes Street gardens and St Andrew's Square have been transformed into Disneyland yet again, only this time it is bigger and better - just like last year's was.

German Christmas market stalls abound where you can get food, drink, funny looking hats with tassels, candles, Haribo sweets, Stollen and a myriad of other things you never knew existed but apparently there is a demand for. I'd be interested to know if there is an exchange system with Germany where they have Scottish Christmas markets in their towns selling Ginger Wine, clootie dumplings, Tennant's six packs, stovies, porridge, lucky potatoes, and deep fried Mars bars.

I suppose it is all about new experiences for the tourists. Here we have a Chinese couple eating some sort of Wurst based snack, drinking Glüwein that has been bought from a traditional German Christmas market stall in the middle of Edinburgh.

Cosmopolitan or what!?
