Glasgow University founded in 1451 is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world. Oxford, Cambridge and St Andrews are the three oldest.
I had a visit to the Jack Vettriano exhibition in the Art Galleries this afternoon and walking back to the subway I stopped to blip the university - it is such an iconic landmark across the skyline.
