Route 66

Today we got " our kicks on Route 66"
Not the American one, but part of the 132 mile Cycle route from Central Manchester to Spurn Head. Via Bradford, Leeds, York, Beverley, and Kingston upon Hull.
The bit we did was to walk from Brighouse to Elland and back, along the tow path of the Hebble and Calder Canal.
It included a detour to Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve.
Not much about today, but a nice walk through the woods, and along the river Calder.
One of the nice things about this walk is that part of the way you have the river on one side and the canal on the other.
A dull day, but not cold, and no wind at all.
Still lots of Autumn colours, and lovely reflections in the canal.
Nice to see a boat builder still working.
Tayberg Boats. established in 1988, and each boat individually hand built.

Difficult to chose a photo, but the reflection of the pub as we approached Elland won the day.
