Trying times on a Tuesday.,

So C was over today for the audit planning meeting and I have to say having heard the changes that will be necessary to the reporting I am SO glad I won't be there!

The auditors took us to lunch at the White Swan in Fetter lane - very nice it was too.

Back to talk through work tasks (and the concerns over the already panicking Jersey teams!) when phones will be transferred etc, C left for jersey mid afternoon.

Phil and I did our usual walk to charing cross only to find chaos as there were severe signalling problems meaning no trains from charing cross, cannon st of London bridge.

We walked back to covent garden (picture here of the tree and street performers) endured the packed tube ride to Kings Cross, walked to St Pancras and upgraded for the high speed link to Ebbsfleet.

We crammed onto a train seemingly with the whole of Kent's commuters and emerged into a mass of bewildered people at Ebbsfleet. Fortunately Phil's partner came to the rescue to drive each of us home.. A knight in A shining mini :-)
