Lion's Ear

On the Coldest morning of the year, right around 30F I'm out in my yard running around trying to get a Blip. Not many flowers brave or silly enough to show themselves this time of year but there it was, in all it's Orange Fuzzy Glory...Lion's Ear. This bloom was a bit stunted but I had to give it a whole lot of credit, and a Blip of Honor!

Lion's Ear is a perennial that belongs to the Mint Family, is native to Southern Africa and produces clusters of fuzzy orange flowers in late summer and early fall. It will most probably freeze to the ground this winter but with Luck will come back strong in the spring.
