Searching For Birds

My good friend and visitor started a list of birds she has seen on her visit to California. It has become a fun challenge for me to take her to places where, hopefully, we'll find some birds not on her list yet. So on our way to a post-Thanksgiving turkey dinner, we stopped at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary. Turned out to be a good idea because we added at least 10 birds to her list. A nice selection of year-round birds and wintering birds.

I was able to add to my list too.

The bird pictured is a Song Sparrow.

The second turkey dinner was wonderful. Lots of good food and enjoyable conversation.
