Portobello Sea Defences

Portobello Beach used to be a major tourist attraction in the days before foreign travel and people would travel from all around the UK to sit on the sands of Porty for their summer holidays - obviously global warming must be working in reverse as every time I've been there it's been freezing!

These sea defences have been added to the beach to prevent the ravages of the tide and they sit uniformly along the stretch of coast line. It's a bit of a shoe-horn into the weekly blip challenge theme of Uniform but definitely an image I'll be adding to Lovers of Light - gorgeous sky this morning!
