The Street Where I Live

“Believe you can and you're halfway there.”
- Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919); 26th U.S. President

After a long morning engaged in academic contemplation (Masters thesis topic looms) which somehow seeped into the afternoon, finally at 3.45pm I decided to abandon such frivolity and take a walk. Connie-dog was unconscious so I took the opportunity to walk in the opposite-from-normal direction, (which Connie doesn't like) and thinking about the DDW December challenge for today - "My Street" - and fortified by self confidence after completing 6km last Sunday, I decided to tackle the hill up to the top gate (a major feat with my dicky ticker) and take a photograph of the street beyond. I achieved this, amazingly, hurrah, but upon coming home decided that 'my street' is in fact a path embedded in 65 acres of woodland, so here is one of the trees that I snapped en-route.
