Why were "we" bothered about "1704-2004" when Gib didn't become "Ours" until "....the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713...."?
Well, apparently it was nicked from Spain in 1713.
Oh BTW I didn't know all this, I just searched it coz the dates boggled the olde mind.

Apparently The aforementioned Treaty "......formally ceded Gibraltar (along with Minorca) to the British in perpetuity."

So there.
