Emptying the Nest

Dropped Alison off at her dorm this afternoon and early tomorrow morning Kaye Ellen will be heading back to her college and our nest will once again be empty. We have had a nice visit and I'm so proud of the young women my girls have grown to be. Sometimes I get melancholy and begin missing the "good ol' days" when they were little, but then I stop myself and realize that the days we have together now will someday be remembered as the "good ol' days," and how lucky I am to have this time now.
