HOMAGE to MAGRITTE

This is a picture I have been trying to make for sometime .
However, until now, the light and sky
have never been correct when I have driven past.
Today the light was strong enough to create the reflections
and coming from the right quarter.
The clouds appear to flow into the building,
which I am sure is what the architect intended.
Was he familiar with the work of Rene Magritte
consciously or unconsciously?

Magritte's recurring painting theme was of blue sky and clouds.
Are these paintings suggesting that the blue sky and the white cloud
is the path to ones soul or unconscious.
What we see is what our mind wants us to see.
Magritte's paintings of clouds show how we see reality,
and how often we do not realise
maybe the reality is not the really,
but mere reflection of our own mind.
Our mind, our eyes, our perception is the false mirror.
The blue sky and the white clouds, I believe, tell us
that by connecting with our unconscious mind,
we will be able to truly perceive reality.
