I'm reasonably confident that the technical legal requirement for yellow pedal reflectors would not be something I'd get pulled over for, even during Police Edinburgh's latest unevenly-cyclist-pointed crackdown period, but since switching from normal pedals I have felt that I've lacked one of the most "Look! A cyclist!" night-time indicators, so when I found my yellow retro-reflective tape recently I resolved to adorn either my shoes or cranks with it in addition to the tiny slivers of pedal surface remaining between the cleat-grabbing spring bits.
