Nice down South

Typical December day on Shetland - blue skies, sunshine, warm breeze buffetting the palm trees.

Well, maybe not.

Picture is taken from Compass Head - Scatness in foreground, Garths Ness behind it, and Fitful Head in the background.

Good to see the blue skies return albeit briefly. The picture doesn't do justice to the much colder northerly wind that has arrived, and the warnings that snow will follow on behind, accompanied with the warnings of travel disruption, and no doubt with panic buying in the supermarkets.
