Shadow's Grave

A simply wooden cross marks what I presume is the grave of a pet in the woods where I sometimes go for a walk at lunchtime. I've never seen anyone at the grave or any flowers etc but I assume that it is visited frequently as flattened path of plants leads up to it.

Quite touching and sad in a way but....perhaps not as this may well be a burial spot in woods where 'Shadow' loved to walk with his owner?
