Mystery

although used to illustrate the Story start challenge Day 4, this was not a set up shot.

In real life the Mystery (for the DDW Dec challenge) was "What lives in these woods?" and fortunately Bob was there to solve it.

Here he is kneeling in front of a badger sett looking for evidence and has seen a badger hair on the ground. Then he found us some otter scatt, a fox's footprint, and a hollow made by a resting deer. Some small mammal temporary traps revealed a water shrew and some bank voles, and finally the footage from an IR camera showed many of these creatures visiting the reserve over the last 2 days.

So, mystery solved
