Obligatory Seasonal Wheel Blip

You really can't ignore the Big Wheel in Edinburgh's city centre in December, it's there, visible, from all approaches, all the time, so there's no escaping an Obligatory Seasonal Wheel Blip.

It was strange to notice that the lights are still on during the day, completely invisible in bright sunlight until you stand right next to the wheel, what's the point of that...?

I'm still considering taking a ride, have any blippers tried it already? Is it worth the rather inflated ticket price?
