keeping warm

It has been very wet and windy today. Fortunately for me, I had a day off of work and was able to enjoy morning dog walking in the light and before the rain.

I had lunch with a friend who retires from work in 5 days time and reflected on the budget statement change to the date on which my own state pension will be paid - 2 years later than it was yesterday.

I hope that I make it. I have paid lots in.

Edited this to add that at 9.45pm I was on route to work to assist at a rest centre as many people were asked to leave their homes due to a tidal surge. This date is going to be one to keep and eye on. Last year conditions were also testing.
