Advent - 5

I rarely see a good sunrise but this morning was an exception.

This brief but glorious sky reminded me of a verse in the beginning of Luke's gospel which points us to the Lord Jesus, whose birth we celebrate at Christmas.

'...because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun (Jesus) will come to us from heaven
to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace'
