Backfilling

The crew is now finishing this section of the pipeline. Green crib boxes are used to contain sand that is used to surround the pipeline. When backfilled, the box can be removed as we see here. Note the man with the long pole and rake to hold telephone wires away from being snagged by the the crane.

Weather is getting colder. We may have a frost tonight.
