.....don't be deceived by those rolled up sleeves and bare arms because temperatures are hovering around about zero here, but Geordie lasses are notoriously tough! I went in search of 'storm damage' this morning following yesterdays gale force winds and tidal surge.....the lower prom at the bottom of the street seems to have come off worst locally with about 30 yards of railings 'disappeared' along with some substantial blocks of concrete and huge swathes of surface tarmac peeled away by the sea.....another surge predicted at teatime today....I might risk a quick trot......

definitely a wet bum scenario
