Sunrise

This was the sun rising over Stirling this morning. Later we attended a service for the stillborn baby girl of our friends' daughter. It was a simple but effective service which will have helped bring some measure of comfort to the parents and their families - a thanksgiving for a life, sadly, not lived.
Today across the world people have been giving thanks for the life of Nelson Mandela one of the greatest figures of all time. In a life spanning 95 years he fought for freedom and peace wherever freedom and peace were needed.
Two thanksgivings then .... each one as meaningful as the other.
