Birthday Toast

Today would have been my Dad's 67th birthday.
As a festive tribute to him Caroline & I took a visit to the Christmas Markets in Manchester to raise a toast of Glühwein.
Despite not having my phone to contact her, and Caroline's diverted train, we managed to browse our way through the shops and stalls and didn't struggle for anything to talk about.
An introduction to the wonders of this particular garlic bread stall, favoured by my other half, was well received by both of us- hence the photo- originally intended to send to the said other half.
We worked out way through a number of cups of the hot stuff and it was just then we realised the poignancy of the whole thing.
The market as a "business" is celebrating it's 15th birthday and it was been the same number of years since Dad's been gone.
There was quite a bit of emotion in the air today.
