Boat-bar

We went to Ely today. By car, it takes twenty minutes. By boat, it takes three or four hours. We went by boat.

This was the first time Mr Perkins was to hear the engine, never mind be on the boat while it was moving. Predictably, he didn't like it.

When we arrived at Ely, Mr Perkins had settled down again, so we left him to get used to the new noises, while we went to the pub. You don't have to worry about driving home when you've just parked up your home outside the pub.

We've been to the Cutter Inn a couple of times before, but I'd never noticed that the bar was like the hull of a boat.
