The Bothie

It was my great pleasure today to attend the opening of The Bothie in Kintore, a youth facility that's been built by the community for its young people. I was involved in the project in the initial days in 2007 when I worked for Aberdeenshire Council, and more recently have supported it in my current role withThe Garioch Partnership. Fantastic to see the dream become a reality! It's a n Eco building, a straw build which will make it very economic to run with a low carbon footprint. This has always been important to the Youth Forum whose vision it is. One if the original members who is now a volunteer youth worker with the project had the pleasure of opening it today.
