Venice it ain't

Although by all accounts I think Venice can stink to high heaven sometimes.

This is the commonly referred to Stinky River Street, near where we live in Phnom Penh.

Benefits: the smell tells you you're nearly home.

Drawbacks: Airborne Faecal Matter attacks the eyes, turds sometimes float to the surface and offend, no gondolas, it floods over in heavy rain and the market running alongside stores much of its fresh produce on the ground...
