First Lights '13

Well, the first string of Christmas lights are on the apple tree branch that sits at the end of the living room as a kind of natural sculpture. It is part of Gracie T-t's gym and condo. She can look out of the wall of windows during the day. The tree ends at Gracie's shelf near the ceiling in the east window. She frequently takes a full bath in the sunshine there while displaying her self to the neighbours.
She loved 'helping' wrap this single string up and around the branch. She also did her part grabbing and chasing the few strings that are outside on the Nobel fir tree. One more string out there and I think that will be enough feline entertainment decoration before they get plugged into the timer and light up our front yard a little bit..
Tonight I was driving after the moon and what I think is a huge Venus or Jupiter rose in the indigo sky (right! no camera with me). Yet the many houses with outdoor lights have grown in the past 48 hours.
I walked past a large 3 storey house with extraordinary tiny lights ALL over it like a net. And somehow they got lights up in the 30 to 40 foot trees. I will try to blip that one for sure...
