The Gunners View

I've committed to doing the Caledonian Challenge next year which means in June I'll be trying to walk 54 miles along the West Coast of Scotland in under 24 hours. Today was the first day of training and was a gentle 16 mile wander between New Town Edinburgh and Cramond Island and back (with a small break in the pub for a wee small sherry).

This is the view out of the sentry box on the Island and was actually quite a welcome respite from the lashing wind and rain that occasionally popped up during the journey.

I used HDR to process this image and I may actually have a think about doing a little instructional video on www.EdinburghPhotographyWorkshop.com about the process of shooting and processing an image using the technique - it doesn't always have it's place but in the case it seems to work.
