Messy Christingle

Today was a church day, a full on one too. We went to church this morning as usual, the talk was great, and got me thinking. We popped to Grandmas for an hour after church to have some lunch and to rest, and then came back to prepare for messy church.
Today's theme was messy Christingle, we made christingles, and thought about other aspects of advent and Christmas. The mini pinks came away with some great crafts.

My favourite part though was coming back into the main church from a frantic tidy up in the hall (who's daft idea was it to do snow dough and a sensory tub?). When I went into church, everyone was singing by the candlelight from their Christingles. It was beautiful.
