Christchurch Botanical Gardens

The botanical gardens described perfectly on trip advisor as "the jewel in the heart of a damaged city. They have remained a constant joy amongst the heartbreak of so much lost."

Sadly the affects of the 2011 earthquake are still very visible throughout the city of Christchurch. The next few years will be an interesting time as the development of the city gets underway with the botanical gardens at the core of it all.

These gardens really are beautiful with the river flowing right through the middle, you can hire a little boat too if you fancied a punt.
